Using tech
to support the efforts
Proper response and decision-making requires the best possible information
That includes: satellite imagery, prior marine studies as well as allowing any global citizen to collect and preserve digital evidence of the state of the ocean with our mobile applications backed by blockchain.
Satellite imagery
Thanks to generous support from organizations such as Planet Labs Inc., Ursa Space Systems, ICEYE and others, OceanExO is gathering the most up-to-date and precise satellite imagery to inform and target local efforts. We’re working hard to make this information accessible to scientists asap.
Marine science & documenting local biodiversity
Thanks to the support of numerous organizations, such as Allen Coral Atlas and support from local and international marine science community, we’re working hard to document and preserve the rich fauna and flora – a lot of it unique to Mauritius – and the impact of the spill.

Our “Thank you!”
Time is not on our side, but a lot of people and organizations are!

There are too many to list, but for now, we’d like to specially acknowledge the volunteers helping with the clean-up efforts and data gathering, as well as: Planet Labs Inc., Ursa Space Systems, ICEYE, and Allen Coral Atlas for helping with satellite imagery and scientific information as well as Forbes, for supporting the coverage of the situation and efforts.
